Your application is very useful. Would you consider modifying it so we can quickly change the speed limit setting on the same main screen while driving. Cheers, Hugo

    Hi Hugo.
Thank you for your feedback. We are gathering users’ feedback to improve Speed Alert; we expect to release a new version in a couple of weeks. Thanks!

I would like to see an English description of your app on the App Store if possible, I will download it anyway but I am confused as I don’t understand Italian :-(, I can tell the app is about checking your speed but not much else. I am in the process of building a website that will review the apps but it is difficult to compare to the description if I don’t understand the language, and I am sure many would like an English description as well (I understand French as well)

I don’t have an iPhone and will try and hold out for a gPhone or such…. But I would love your app, if it recorded the speeds over time, and especially if it ran in the background.

I live under an authoritarian regime and Big Brother has placed cameras everywhere and in hidden places. The cameras are triggered by speed usually, and yet, no one knows if they are accurate or have been calibrated recently.

It would be nice to have my own gps recording my route. This might be shown to a so-called judge to show that speeds were not in excess of posted limits, or that speeds were not excessive and were safe under the circumstances.

I am pretty sure cameras are the first step, and next they will go to confiscation of assets and probably forced labor camps.

    Thanks,

I love this app and I’ve been using it when I ride my bicycle so that I know when i’ve hit lets’ say 25MPH… I would love it you added a vibrate option and please give us other sound options such as PINGS or DINGS in addition to sirens. A small PING! is sufficient when you have your headphones on… Also… could you add a feature that it emails you or uploads a log that has information such as: at what GPS location you exceeded MPH and for how long you kept up that speed over the limit, etc… AMAZING APP!

hi i’ve been trying to use the speed alert in my iPod touch but it seems not to work with it… Am I wrong??? Or maybe I haven’t installed it right

@Eddie: Speed Alert requires the iPhone 3G to get it run, because it uses the embedded GPS to determine current speed.

    Ciao.

Suggestion : A sound when we go back to the normal speed.

    I don’t hear any sound. What’s wrong?

@Sebastien: thanks for your suggestion; we’ll try to add this feature in the next release

@Pieter: could you let us know more info please (firmware, iPhone settings)? Usually a user can have this problem if the iPhone is in silent mode.

    Suggestion 2: Speed limit middle changes (55 km/h, 65, 75…95).

    Hi Atis,
    thanks for your suggestions;
We have just uploaded a new version (1.1) that fixs some problems on speed value.
As soon as we update to 1.2 version we’ll disable autolock and add new speed limit values
    Cheers
    Roberto

    Hello Roberto,

Great idea this app. I use it every day to prevent me from speeding tickets. I think it would be nice to be able to change the speed limit on the front screen with a whipe of one finger. I would pay for the app. right now and even more if it could do that.

    Kind regards, Leo
